DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING CENTER
Life is not about living, but a series of opportunities to choose to walk with and to become more like Jesus with each decision. Jesus told His disciples, “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me;” thus, each biblical truth put into a disciple’s mind from Scripture enables them to eliminate competing voices in order to hear only from and then follow Jesus. (Scripture reference John 10:27)
One way to get these truths is to attend the Discipleship Training Center. Courses are offered each quarter that range from the BASIC TOOLS needed to hear Jesus’ voice to the SPECIALTY TOOLS needed to insert into your shield of faith, which further aids in the filtering process.
These four week courses are taught with a Hebrew style of learning and are designed for the greatest interaction possible. This enables each Jesus disciple to actually know how to critically think through life’s daily situations using Scripture (biblical knowledge and understanding) and then to see how to use those truths (biblical wisdom) throughout their day to enjoy their walk with Jesus.
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
BASIC TOOLS:
More Than a Sunday Faith
Healthy Disciples not only know what the Bible Says, but how to use it in their everyday lives. In this course, you'll learn how to critically think through everyday life situations for yourself, using the Word of God to listen to and follow Jesus every day, everywhere.
Simply Share Jesus
Jesus told His disciples to be witnesses of what He had done in their lives wherever they went in their daily lives. This course builds on the lessons taught in More than a Sunday Faith about hearing and following Jesus every day, everywhere. By applying these lessons, you'll be ready to accomplish His mission. Learn how to simply share Jesus everywhere you go!
Bible Study Methods
Learn how to study (not just read) to find scriptural answers to life's questions and challenges in the Bible for yourself. This course will help you mine scriptural truths, the building blocks of a healthy faith, to develop Christ-like character in your life.
General Bible Survey
The Bible is one book! Therefore, one verse will never contradict the entire Bible and the Entire Bible will never contradict a single verse. This course gives the big picture contexts of scripture from eternity past to eternity future that enables each disciple to hear from Jesus.
Amanology
Do you, a Jesus disciple, know the tools you have already been given, but leave them in your tool belt? Come learn who you are in Christ and the ability and capability you've been given the moment you became a secure child of God.
SPECIALTY TOOLS:
Christology
Jesus is life and what life is all about, but who is He? And why should we walk with Him today and tomorrow (let alone want to)? You;ll discover the answers to these questions and more in this course.
Ecclesiology
You don't go to church, but you can be the church everywhere you go! Come discover who and what the church is and how simple it can be to do church! Find out what in the world is going on with the church.
Soteriology
Humanity is broken. In this course, you'll discover God's plan to fix each person through a personal relationship with Jesus.
Angelology
Many deny there is a personal evil force. Get the biblical facts on who angels, demons, and Satan are, what they can and cannot do and how you can use these truths to make victorious choices each and every day.
Bibliology
The Bible is under attack from all sides. Is it merely written by men or did God write it? Come discover how the Bible came into being and how its truths apply to your everyday living.
Theology Proper
People have varying ideas about who God is, but who is He actually? Come to understand who God really is, especially the Father, and how these truths can be used to change your life for the better!
Israelology
One’s view of Israel is key in determining one’s theology. This study investigates the theology of Israel past, present, and future; and beliefs that tend to confuse the identities of both Israel and the Church.
Pneumatology
Many don't understand the Person and the work of the Holy Spirit and how He fits into the life of the healthy believer. This course will show you all aspects of the Holy Spirit.
Eschatology
There are so many views of what the end times will be like. This course will give you biblical insight into what the future looks like for the church and the life of the believer.
Anthropology
The biblical doctrine of anthropology is concerned with understanding human nature and existence. Traditionally called “the doctrine of man,” this course studies the biblical portrait of human beings, male and female.
